The purpose of the GFWC Membership Program is to recruit new members,
retain current members, build new clubs, and support GFWC Districts as a
vital membership link in every state. We must make Membership a
priority!
A membership application may be submitted after the prospective member
has attended at least one meeting.
The Executive Board considers each membership application and invites
accepted applicants into the club.
Members must:
1. pay annual dues of (currently) $50 per year;
2. participate in at least three service projects each year.
Members are expected to:
1. attend regular meetings, when possible;
2. make at least one visit to Tallulah Falls School;
3. attend at least one District meeting;
4. attend at least one State meeting;
5. be an active member of at least one Department each year;
6. participate in all club fund raisers each year.
We offer many opportunities for personal growth through our departments
and our committees.
Why Join the Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs?
By joining, you have the opportunity to work with other women to improve
the social, cultural and physical needs in your city or town. In so
doing, you will meet and make new friends, gain in knowledge, and become
a better citizen of your community.
Through membership in the Georgia Federation, you will grow as a person
in leadership and will bring new interests into your home. Much more can
be accomplished when there are many working together in the same
interest and belief than when trying to act as an individual.
Clubwomen arc encouraged to select a "department of work" wherein their
interest lies. There is something for everyone who becomes a member of
the Federation.
